Join the South Wairarapa Biodiversity Group for our planting day at Ōkorewa Lagoon.
Our planting days are a great opportunity to connect with nature, enhance our native biodiversity, off-set carbon emissions and meet new people
Sausages and drinks will be provided. Please bring a spade and gloves if you have them and warm clothes. RSVP to swbg@xtra.co.nz.
Ōkorewa Lagoon is past Lake Ferry Hotel at the end of Lake Ferry Road. Follow the road down to the beach, the lagoon is to the left.
The South Wairarapa Biodiversity Group was formed in 2011 with the goal of enhancing local biodiversity. Since then our group has planted thousands of trees, hosted visits to local biodiversity hot spots and undertaken regular monitoring of water quality, fish and bird species at Ōkorewa Lagoon.
